It’s not always a hoot for queer folk to go to prom, so this looks set to create your own Hearstopper moment. For folk aged 15-18, it’s a space for LGBTQ+ people and allies to celebrate, get spooky and dance the night away.

FLICKERS: Queer Film Club - Vamps & Velvet
With all ticket sales going to charity, this spooky film night is set to be a win win for all involved. With the film a secret until you arrive, it’s sure to be a night full of surprises. This time, all ticket sales and donations go to MIND OUT, and food will be provided by the crew at Hair And Hound.

Film Africa 2024: Queer Ghanaian Stories
Part of the wider Film Africa series, watch four short films following the lives of queer Ghanaian’s at home and in the diaspora. From familial love and interpersonal relationships to stories of romance and the nuance of identity and race, let this be a chance to explore queerness in a way you may never have explored before.

Fancy showing off your carving skills with a gaggle of spook enthusiasts? Head down to London LGBTQ+ Community Centre to take part in the annual tradition of pumkin carving. Strictly BYOP (Bring Your Own Pumpkin) there will be tea and tools available but best to bring your own bits and bobs to achieve carving perfection.

Grace Campbell Is On Heat Tour
Famously I once bumped into Grace in Soho and we took a photo in a swinging seat decorated with flowers. I guess you had to be there. But, you COULD be there by taking yourself down to one of her many tour dates for her hilariously named ‘Grace Campbell Is On Heat’. Presumably not about her sitting down on a copy of the magazine on the tube accidentally - it’s set to be a night full of sexy laughs and sensational outfits (of course).

Strike Out: Pits and Perverts - An Anniversary
To mark the 40th anniversary of the miners’ strike, those involved in the Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) group in the 80s, as well as those still fighting for working class folk in Wales will be sharing their words on what the movement means to them. Through music, speech and dance - the night is set to honour the strikes as well as showcase how community can bring history and solidarity to the forefront, 40 years on.

Through a mixture of singers, comedy, cabaret and burlesque, Manchester’s Queer Lit and Social Refuge are putting on a one of a kind alternative night for those who enjoy something a little less high octane. But rest assured, it will be a camp night with local performers, chilling comedy and community in abundance. They do a cracking cocktail/mocktail too!
